Homeostasis

Exciting news at the Swan house.  The wee one gets laid down for his naps now.
I go in.  I read him four books.  I give him his bottle and his binky (his blanket) and lay him down.  I say that I love him, and then I walk out of the room.  AND IT WORKS.  Sometimes [...]

So Monday I started daycare for a three month old, and it’s making me painfully nostalgic for a little feebus who wasn’t such a go getter.
All his baby stuff is out, and he’s playing with all of it like giant pieces of playground equipment….in between throwing stuff at the baby, kicking her in the head, [...]

Sick at age one

So Grant, on his birthday, decided to run a fever of 103+ and scare the ever living crap out of his mom.  We took him to the ER, he’s just got a virus, and since then he’s been running through being mildly sick.
He runs a fever every once and a while, and then he [...]

Yes

Got a part time job at a kids clothes store at the mall…my favorite one.  Hoping this will help a little too.  Still waiting to hear this week from a couple  about doing part time care for their little one.

Should be interesting.  In Iowa, hanging at the boy’s Mom’s.  Tis quite fun already.  Lounging.
I’m about [...]

Gun needed

We have a chimney at our house, and stupid birds keep sitting on top of it.  Especially these cooing birds that are loud and stupid.

I wish I could get rid of them.  I’m going to shake the fireplace doors.

This is my life everyone, a collection of boringness.

It’s official

“It pisses me off that marriage class is moved to next week.”
“I know…”
“I already wrote it in my calander in pen, every other week.”
“HEHEHEHEHEHEHE, you’re SO OLD.”

The saddest part?  I knew exactly what he was talking about because I had done the same thing.

I love Flock.

I just blogged this on flock.

I love integrated technology.  More to come later.  Now a crawling baby calls.  That’s right crawling baby.  He figured out he can move and he’s off.  Today he discovered beyond our couches, and while he didn’t move past it, he looked at it like it was Mt. Everest.  It was [...]

Where is home anyway

I’m finding it harder and harder to be a Minnesotan each day that Grant gets older.
It’s been a point of contention in my life since I got pregnant. Mostly because my parents pester me/us about when we’re going to move, and it’s just something people keep asking about. My husband has his dream [...]

So, today is getting off to a GREAT start. We had a HUGE all department meeting today, and my CELL PHONE rings in the middle of it. And then I have to switch lunches and go at 11:30 (which is ungodly early for someone who usually eats at 1:00) and let me tell [...]

Boring

So I have had a really boring week. Things just continually get MORE boring, and I’m constantly reminded if it weren’t for a little Feebus to kick me all the time, I would really be hating life a lot more than am I. Feebus is a multiple impact blessing.
I’m sick of riding [...]
