This article is an AWESOME statement. I have found a lot of the same issues in the Methodist Denomination to a much larger degree. I used to be Methodist but now I am not, but that’s a post for another day. And he uses the word milieu, which I love.
And this article blows my mind. I think as a former potential philosophy major, I deal with a lot of the same insecurties talked about. Many intellectuals tout a higher intellectual ground when it comes to Christianity, and I don’t know how many times I have heard people say that whole, “Poor deluded, clinging to God” thing. (*Cough OBAMA Cough*) It makes my blood boil, but I think that’s because I have a inferiority complex.
Anyway - I was talking to my husband about St. Augustine the other day, and find it NO coincidence that the first philosopher I was introduced to was him, and his argument proving the existence of God.
And just the talk about the gospel and the versions, etc is interesting to me.

Thanks for the kind words! I believe God is stirring many, not merely to complain, but to do much for the glory of God!
