What the crap is the deal with the snow?
My little boy who came to daycare came over this morning (to re-meet us since it’d been awhile) because he was going to hang out with us tonight while his mom was at a meeting. Now it’s cancelled due to the FREAKING! SNOW! THAT! WILL! NOT! STOP! So sad, they had SO much fun together too. However, I’m going to their house on Thursday for lunch with her and three other moms! Her and I have become fast friends because they’ve had miscarriages and stuff too around the same time as me…SOOO we’re buds now. Nothing like bonding over misery.
So Iowa was awesome. Saw the families, hung out with FABULOUS friends and had a really fun time. My birthday was fun too. It was just nice to have it at home. Felt good. It was also the first time we’d been back since we’ve decided to try and buy my grandparents house. We went to a church in Indianola (boy was for it, I’m against it.
) and took a closer look at the house too. It was fun to decide what to do, what not to do, where the rooms would go. It’s fun for me to listen to my husband talk like we’re moving there. It makes it really real. And scary.
And we hit our first little blip in the whole thing. We were concerned initially about the basement. It smells wet and moldy. We looked around closer while we were there, and there is considerable issues with the foundation, including wetness, and some wall bowing. We’re going to have an inspector look at it and see what needs to be done, but I’m not sure what’s going to happen at this point. We’ve got everything and everyone else on board, but honestly it’s a potential deal breaker. I know that I know that I know that we’re going to be moving there, and it’s not going to be a big deal. HOWEVER, it’s a little nerve wracking. I just wanted to be worrying about paint color choices and not the freaking foundation.
But I have to say it’s fun to talk to my dad and aunts so much. :) They’re funny.
In other news NOTHING. Life is sweet.
