Well the Des Moines discussion is over. My husband and yesterday talked to a mortgage company about buying my grandparents house in Indianola. We’re coming home.
My husband will be working remotely. At this point he’d like to work in an office, do some sort of co-working thing, so we’ll see how that works out.
It’s an exciting, nerve wracking time for us. We’re both excited to see how this will work out ultimately. My husband in talking to God last night was reminded of the story in Mark 4:35 about Jesus and the disciples went in the boat, and the storm came up. The story basically is saying that if you’re in the midst of a change, you can’t expect to have God provide you with all the answers upfront. That wouldn’t require you to have any faith. The middle is the place of testing, while you journey towards the blessing on the other side.
The scary part? We’re just starting out toward the testing. Ewww. But we’re going forth in the amazing opportunity presented to us, with help from our family. We know God will provide all the things we need.
Now - if I could just get all the paperwork done, get a date nailed down, the house cleaned out, the flooring down, carpet pulled up, wallpaper down, painting, moving, and EVERYTHING ELSE DONE.
Good Lord. It’s going to take a miracle to do this. BUT AT LEAST I CAN GO TAILGATING THIS YEAR.
YEESSSSS…..

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is so awesome!
