This morning Grant shoved a goldfish up his nose.
He comes over to me, and goes, “Mamma, hhuurrrttt.” and pointed as his nose. I look at him and sympathize and say, “I know you’re sick.” He FREAKS out and makes me look at his nose.
Yep, he shoved a goldfish up there.
I know that mother’s everywhere wonder why their child do things but REALLY? Why does a two year old look at a HUGE goldfish cracker and think…yep. It’s going in the hole I stick my finger in…let’s see if mom will yell at me about that too. I mean he’s already stuffed up and sickly…why not? Best part is I hold him down (YES even though he had a cracker up his nose - HE WANTED TO KEEP IT THERE EVIDENTLY.) and get it all out. Or at least I thought I did…he sneezes and goldfish flies EVERYWHERE.
Wow.
Then this afternoon, I was turning on the TV for Grant to watch another show. I innocently said, “What do you want to watch Grant?” Like i do every other day, and he doesn’t answer. Before I could rifle through the catalog in my brain….the child…ANSWERED.
“Dooorrraaaa!!!!”
I said, “Dora?”
“DORA DORA DORA DORA!”
So I swallowed. Turned it on, and watched in shock and awe as he danced around yelling “Dora! DORA!”
It’s not that he hasn’t said Dora before. He called my Mom Dora and my Dad Diego while we were at home. He just never acted like he KNEW what I was saying before, let alone ANSWERED ME.
Good Lord….we’re in for it now.
