Well the Feebus is doing much better. Running around playing, talking, giggling, and just acting like himself. So life for his mom and dad subsequently is MUCH better.
And I must post of course about the Xmas loot, because I LOVE PRESENTS. And this Christmas was extra fun because we haven’t been buying/spending a lot of money! However - Christmas brought us a lot of money. Extra money. Something we’ve had not a lot of. So we saved a lot, put a lot into an investment account, and then bought some new fun things for ourselves that we’re playing with these days like nerds. We were very blessed this year, it kind of blows my mind.
Let’s put it this way - my mom offered to rent us a Uhaul to get our presents home. Literally. We managed to pack everything into the car but four boxes and one toy.
Our first purchase was the flip. We’ve been getting lots of requests for more video of the feebus, and it’s not the easiest thing in the world to do with our video camera right now because we can’t get the video camera to work with our laptops, the DVD recorder got broken in our last move, so Oprah had this as one of her favorite things, and the boy heard about it through the grapevine. It was cheap, and it’s already paid for itself, thanks to Greg’s chicken adventure he taped for me to show me what it’s like trying to order me food. Hilarious.
Then we got some end tables with lamps, rug, pillows and a new toy box for Grant, all at Walmart, and all for less than $150 (BECAUSE I AM THAT AWESOME) to get our new living room leather look styling appropriatley.
Then the biggy - we upgraded our camera to a digital SLR. The boy’s been looking at them enviously for some time, then his sister got one, and then I started researching them. We decided it should be our next big purchase once we aquired some dough. We headed to Ritz Camera last night and acquired the Nikon D40. While it’s not the best one out there, we talked to the sales person and decided we didn’t NEED the best one out there. We just wanted something nicer what we have, something we can take some artistic pics with, and something that can help the boy take good pics at concerts. We LOVE this camera already, and are looking forward to lots to learn to do with it. The store offers classes I will be taking, and hopefully I can take the wee one’s pics now instead of going to Penney’s or something….I’m excited to learn and hopefully save us MORE money.
And for Christmas I got Greg an Ipod touch. It’s the coolest thing ever, and being able to be on the internet constantly is just amazing. I get to buy myself one too
SO that will be fun.
And as for the wee one, I can’t even talk about it because it makes me nauseated. Let’s just say there is going to be a major toy sort, in which we donate a lot of stuff to the ARC because we live in an apartment. His favorite present was a train table, he keeps jumping and playing on the box waiting for Daddy to put it together.
And speaking of Feebus….
