Today the Feeb figured out that I have freckles. He keeps trying to scrape them off. He’s not quite understanding why I have black/brown dots on me and why he can’t just pick them up.
I’m a little concerned that he’s not started crawling yet. I’ve been working with him on all fours trying to show him how to do it, but he’s not into it. He thinks that I’m his little manservant and that I should just go get whatever he needs. With the eight month mark fastly approaching, I’m just starting my little mommy wonders. He’s way ahead in everything else, and this should be no suprise considering that the boy and I both arrived whenever a small peep is made, and just like holding and carrying him around anyway.
Anyhoo - the house we were going to rent fell through. We were VERY sad, but figuring that God has something else up his sleeve. Then Saturday night in the middle of the blizzard one of our couple friends from church called saying he’d seen a house in the paper and did we want him to call them? I said no, we would call.
We went and looked at it, it’s HUGE. It’s a gorgeous house, right accross the street from our church on DIVINITY LANE.
I’m not kidding. It’s got a HUGE back yard, and a deck and fireplace, and there is some wallpaper to strip down but it’s FABULOUS. This house I’m hoping we can buy when it’s all over too.
We got a million inches of snow, and again I’m reminded why I love seasons. This time next week I will be in NYC, perhaps taking in a broadway show…or maybe looking at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Maybe I will be in my expensive hotel room bed just praying and enjoying the peace while the city buzzes around me. Anyway you put it I will be on a personal vacation in the city that never sleeps!
