Milieu of Me

So today was my birthday, thank you for the birthday shout out Mr. Foo, and it was quite the birthday.

I took today and tomorrow off in honor of, and spent the morning shopping and the afternoon trying to figure out how to run my new birthday present from my husband, my new blog, and at new web address to be named later. I however, don’t know coding, how to run scripts, arguments, etc and it’s been a REALLY frustrating day. I’m trying to convert my LJ entries to movable type. I found a script to do it, but the script converted the MT files wrong so that movable type won’t read them. The XML files I exported in the body part has “body: (and the body of the post)” it needs to be as follows:

I can’t figure out how to:

1. Run perl scripts which evidently everyone and their mom knows how to do.
2. Fix the XML files I downloaded so that MT will see them
3. Find another program to do the script running
4. Post on the MT board to get help because the MT server is evidently down or something.

Anyway I’m really mad because I thought I was going to be all smart and figure this out myself and now I’m not going to and it’s stupid. GRRRRR. Looks like the boy found someone to figure it out though…so maybe just maybe we’ll figure this out.

Anyway my birthday loot was the coolest, I got a MT book, my blog, a gift certificate for scrapbooking, and the NEW COACH PATCHWORK PURSE from my hubby. Yes he wins the suprise of the year award….I had NO idea what I was getting but I would not have thought that it was a purse, let alone the new Patchwork. I haven’t even been looking at them because I am trying to be all responsible. God love him. He also took me to Bennihana’s, which is the MN version of Ohana’s WHICH I love. He also took tomorrow off, and it’s going to be cool to have some fun time.

And I got flowers from my mom and dad and I got nice cards from lots of people. Birthday’s as you get older get weirder, have you noticed? My mom turned 52 yesterday, which means that I am now the age she was when she had me. I really was missing my mom on her birthday this year! Birthday’s at our house is a HUGE event, and my mom always made it so special. I miss it, but am glad the boy does such a good jobby.

Funny story, this week I was running around trying to get my medical records from my clinic and the hospitals I’d been to for the appointment tomorrow. I also had to get disability paperwork filled out by my old doctor because I was out for a week.
My old doctor calls me yesterday because TWO DAYS LATER she still hasn’t filled out the paperwork I faxed her. (Case and point)

Anyway she says, “Are you still having the contractions?”

I find this funny on so many levels. First of all it’s almost a week since I was at the clinic for my follow up and it’s almost two since I was at the hospital. It’s a little late to be concerned at this point.

I respond that since I received the second antibiotic that I have not had any contractions. She then asks how my bladder infection is.

You know….the one that I don’t have? I had to tell my doctor that I didn’t have that I had something else.

She NEVER looked at my chart, and she had no intention of looking at my chart. She was calling me to get the information to send my forms back so that she wouldn’t have to look at my chart.

INSANE. So I’m not feeling to bad about the spite I unleashed this morning. I was supposed to have an appointment there this morning and I didn’t cancel it.

HA.

Anyway I went to the hospital where it was a cardinal sin that I wanted my medical records at both places. They wanted to know all this information that was none of their damn business, and it was just really silly.

So the Foos are coming and NOW LINDS IS TOO and we are WAY excited. Heheheheehe. We’re going to have SO much fun.
