God, we did so much stuff I forgot the best part.
Saturday after we left the renaissance fair we were tired, but not tired enough to go home yet. So we hit the casino, went to lunch, and then scouted the Southern burbs for somewhere to move to in May.
After we were done, and still not ready to go home, we decided to go to the Marshall Field’s in downtown Minneapolis. This is the one great downtown department stores a la Macy’s in downtown NYC. I wanted to go to check out the Louis Vuitton, as the Strib just wrote a huge story about the remodeling they are doing, and how they are enlarging the Louis Vuitton boutique. This was news to Ms. Pants as I thought I would have to hit Chicago to see a real Louis in action.
So we get there, got ROCKING PARKING AGAIN. We hopped in and walked right into the shoes. My husband promptly groans and I go around agape looking at Coach Shoes, and JIMMY CHOO’S. My husband picks them up looks at the price and says, “I cannot believe that you are even touching those PUT THEM DOWN.” They are designer shoes you know so quite pricey, and I wasn’t going to buy anything….just marvel at the fact that should I need designer duds I could go here and buy them. ![]()
So we putz around and boy tries to convince me to crazy looking things such as sequined shoes. He thinks I need to be more crazy in my fashion.
My husband new why we were there, and so we walked into the purse section to see the most amazing things ever. DOLCE WAS THERE. They had D & G, Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo handbags, and then there was Louis Vuitton. It was quite heavenly. I also had to go upstairs and hit the Ralph Lauren section. In this store they divide their store by DESIGNER, in the Ralphie section they had a RL REP. She knew everything, and they had Anne Klein.
OH MY GOD. It was insane, and I was glad my husband was there because my willpower could not have withstood the effort it would have taken not to buy anything.
It was the coolest.
