Well…we are home, you can kinda walk around our house a little bit better. At least you can see the floor in some places. It’s been a crazy week and I can’t believe I go back to school tomorrow FOR MY LAST SEMESTER!!! Yay!!!!
We’ve been returning and rearranging and repacking stuff, and just spending way too much time looking and analyzing our house. We didn’t even make it to church this morning, something I was SOOO looking forward to doing…it’s just so time consuming. It didn’t help that Wed, Thurs, and Fri all contained trips to Des Moines to bring more stuff home! So time just got ate up in various ways.
Friday we went to American to look at some larger purchases we had been talking about. You know things married people should buy. We ended up walking out with a washer, a dryer, a TV, an entertainment center and a surround sound thing. We decided just to bite the bullet and buy some of the big ticket items we’d been talking about because one we have some money thanks to the wedding, two when else are we going to be able to do it, and three kids = no fun new stuff. While I am not planning on getting pregnant tomorrow even three years isn’t as far away as it sounds, and it seems smarter to do this now.
Greg doesn’t like new things. He doesn’t like to like to buy new things, and he looks at everything concerning any of the aforementioned things as getting his nuts chopped on a block in front of everyone he knows.
It took me ALL damn day to get him there, and he fought me the whole entire time. Then we get there, and we fight, we leave we fight. Are you picturing this? If you haven’t seen us fight, we are damned good at it. We are two oldest kids. It’s like watching the battle of the intellect. Until one gets mad and then yelling comes in, but usually we just get annoyed and talk to each other very sternly.
Anyway, we go back to American a second time of course then we can buy it, but his face turns this funny color. It’s silly, and it’s so very Greg. Of course he makes it seem like it’s all my fault, except I keep saying I don’t care, and he asks me questions in such a way that he can feel like I am making him do it, by the way I am answering his questions.
I don’t hesitate to tell him, though he’s lucky he married a psychologist because anyone else would just think he’s a dick. I however realize he has issues with spending money. Even if it’s to buy cheese. We go to the grocery store today, and he doesn’t want me to buy hot dogs, and hot dog buns. I found myself tricking him as we were shopping so that I could buy things….you know like milk? Hehehehehe.
Luckily I find it a endearing quality, and we don’t impulse buy AT ALL, so it’s a very good complement to me who likes to shop. Like any woman does. It’s just another funny Greg story I guess.
So yeah, Tuesday I will be at home doing my laundry….at my house. Because I can! Hehehe. I haven’t done laundry at my residence for five years. For five years I have been going to a laundromat, or taking laundry to a family members house. How fun will it be to walk five feet and throw a load of laundry in.
I really am easy to please!!!
I am tired and I really should sleep. I have school tomorrow! ![]()
